JUVENILE DEPENDENCY


This division handles dependency cases on behalf of children under the age of 18 because of their neglect and/or mistreatment by those responsible for their care.
The division works closely with the Department of Children and Family Services and Judiciary to carry out its mission.

The division dockets all cases, attends court and hearings, and maintains all of the required court records. Juvenile Dependency records are maintained as confidential under Florida Law. To view the court file, authorized persons must appear in person with proper identification.
